Would we go bust if relegated ?

It would be very Everton to go out and beat City........

In recent seasons perhaps, but there's an unsettling atmosphere and mood around the club currently which doesn't seem to fit this scenario. It's difficult seeing the same togetherness and belief within the squad.

I'm not saying it won't happen but if it does it will certainly be a bigger shock than when we beat them or Chelsea in previous years.

I was curious about this, too. On a rudimentary level, you'd think it would unfold thusly:

Good news: The club's significant salable assets (Barkley, Lukaku, etc) would keep them on decent enough financial footing. While most relegated clubs don't carry the debt Everton do, they also don't have the luxury of cashing in on upwards of £75 million worth of players.

Bad news: What's left of the squad would have a difficult time earning promotion, and it might not be until Ledson, Kenny, Galloway etc grow up before the club make it back up.

No matter what happens, we will always be competing, at any level.

I think relegation is a very real threat, we have 21 points from 20 games, but just as worrying is, I can't see where our next points are coming from.
