Would any of our missed summer transfer targets have improved us?

Convinced Yarmolenko would have improved us, having another fine season for Kiev, and when you factor in Mirallas and Lennon's contribution to our season so far it becomes even clearer.

Interested to see where he'll go, don't think we've much hope.

Has shaqiri actually done anything for Stoke?

Yes Undoubtably Payet, Dann and Shakiri would have possibly improved us this season, but it's a bigger question than just this season. Better players will be available in the next 12 months.

Ogbonna was a lucky escape.
so... you'd drop Gerry for Shakiri then? or Ross for Payet? or would you be playing Ross out of position on the left thus nullifying his effect?

Depends whether you believe the smoke and mirrors of the transfer window. A lot of the links are generated by agents to drum up firm bids from other clubs that have shown tentative interest. I bet the actual number of players we've actually 'missed' is a lot lower than is reported. Once the asking price has been quoted, any wiggle room on price established, and whether the player actually wants to come and how much he wants a week, it's pretty straightforward - I.e can we satisfy all the above. what drags thing out is all the stupid posturing and misinformation.
