Worst Transfer Window Ever?

I heard someone lifted the lid and looked inside the war-chest. There was a bow-and-arrow, a DP (Drill Purpose) Stengun, an Ordnance Survey map of Frome, a Swiss-Army knife, some hardback and Kendal mint cake, and an assortment of tinned rations, including sausage-and-beans, curry, and chocolate-and-sweets.
It was one of those Jarg red ones mate!

Just to clarify lads. I'm not asking if this was the worst. Want to make myself feel better by hearing about one's that were far far worse. Sick I know. For me the one where we ended up with Straq seemed a bit grim. 2011 is the worst I can remember: Arteta out; Straq in.

I'not that disappointed really. Yes we need another striker and a playmaker, but if you take a look at the squad it is pretty much a very good squad. Look at Spurs how they spend all the Bale transfer kitty on players that didnt get them to CL. And Liverpool spend Torres and Suarez money without getting higher up on the table.

What I'm trying to say is that buying new players is a huge gamble and would not necessary help us to CL. What is more important is how the trainer team manages to develop the existing squad to a higher level.

Worst one had to be when we qualified for the champions league and I think we only brought in phil Neville, great ambition by the club and nothings really changed ever since.

Any window that admits the likes of Gerard Deulofeu into our club, cannot be bad. This young lad is going to be a global giant. I rate this young man's talent so highly.
It is easy to get caught up in doom and despondency, it is the Everton way ; it is what provides us our stoic fortitude...and our very dark humour. But come on people...we have Del Boy...we have hope!!

PS 2-0 to Soton this weekend.

I believe there should be more money available due to the TV deals and other teams in our division are spending on players who are perceived by our fans to be good enough to join us, rather than the likes of Stoke, West Ham, Newcastle et al.

I think frustration is the feeling rather than the worst window.
