Jagielka, in I think what was his debut for us against Kharkiv away. Played in centre mid and was atrocious.

Turned out OK thankfully.

Brett Angell away at QPR in 94-95 We started with a strike force of Angell and Stuart Barlow and went 0-2 down early. Angell got booked and then every time he went near an opponent with a tackle our own fans started chanting "off off off" Got subbed at half time.

One of my favourite ever games that though as we came back to win 3-2 with a beautiful last minute Andy Hinchcliffe free kick where he just shrugged his shoulders when celebrating it.

I seem to remember Lescott having a stinker in the 6-1 vs Arsenal.

But I don’t know if that’s because I knew he was off and the teenage me blamed him for every goal.

I always saw this one as a bit of a myth, he was no worse than anyone else on the pitch for us. I mean we did lose 1-6.
