Sigh....Carl Tiler gets so much abuse from our fans, none of it warrented. He didnt put a foot wrong for us. he was hardly a sexy signing or anything but he did a job.

Tony Thomas had one good game at least.

Pembridge started terribly for us, he got better though I reckon. Took good corners too.

I think thats very harsh. He never really did anything to warrant him being crap. I dont recall him being at fault for any goals or anything anyway.

I dunno there are many worse right backs for us than him I reckon.

Agreed fully on JMM. Scored a few goals and worked hard.

Bilic however was a major letdown. He was a quality centre back he just never did it for us mainly because he was always suspended.
 
I fully stand by my dislike for JMM but after seeing the likes of Bakayoko, Angell etc mentioned. It is probably wrong to suggest that JMM was the worst Everton striker.

GK Richard Wright

There were lesser talented goalkeepers but for the amount we paid for him he was shocking. Mistakes a plenty.

RB Paul Holmes

A trier but he just wasn’t up to the job. Always seemed to get thrown in at the deep end too in games against the likes of Manchester United.

CB Per Kroldrup

Was he really that bad a player? We will never know as we spent loads on him and didn’t play him. History says that he was the reason we got battered by Aston Villa in his only league appearance but im not having that. We were rubbish all over the pitch. Has done well anywhere else he has played but he gets into my team just for being a massive waste of money.

CB Glen Keeley

32 minutes before being sent off in a derby. 0-5. Need I say more?

LB David Burrows

Swapped for Tony Cottee our top scorer. A striker who would have worked brilliantly with Duncan Ferguson who we signed on the same day. Annoying. Oh yeah Burrows played like 10 games and was despised by everybody.

RM Peter Degn

Barely played but the games he did play he was terrible. I remember him playing against Oxford in the league cup and he fell over the ball about 5 times and was subbed at half time.

CM Claus Thomsen

Injured celebrating a goal. I always remember one pass where he just hoofed it into the main stand for no apparent reason. I thought he did OK as a makeshift centre back at times but seemed to have zero pace and ability.

CM Stephen Hughes

I thought about putting Nyarko in here but Nyarko had ability he was just a weirdo. Hughes had no redeeming qualities. The tree he stood next too when he signed for us is now in Everton folklore more than he is.

LM David Ginola

An excellent player in his prime. But his prime was like 5 years before we signed him. Pretty much typical of the Walter Smith era. Played 2 or 3 times before Moyes came in and shipped him out straight away.

ST Brett Angell

Bless him. Seemed a lovely bloke but just not good enough. Had our own fans chanting for him to be sent off after a foul away at QPR

ST John Spencer

I actually just realised that we signed him. I thought he was only on loan! Again a good player elsewhere, did the grand total of nothing for us. Even Peter Johnson said he was crap. At least Stuart Barlow scored goals.

I just think it was the state of the club at the time. Complete dross times back then.

As Neville, Hibbert and Osman are scapegoats for some people, Pembridge was mine......poor fella couldn't do anything right in my eyes.

Westerveld was a decent keeper. Didn't do much wrong when we signed him on an emergency loan. Harsh. The only Everton player I remember hating was Pistone. I'm sure he was OK. Just hated him as a kid. Everytime I heard he was playing I was like nooooooooooooo.
 
and Daniel Amokachi, now i LOVE the fella to bits and he got the FA cup goals against Spurs, but he was fecking Sh**e. for skill he has to be mentioned but i'd forgive him anything cos hes so "DAMN COOL" (to quote himself on Radio Merseyside LOL)

Damned right. I spat my drink our a bit when I read that. He was a tremendous keeper for most of his Everton career. Lost his way somewhat after injury and Gerrard was brought in.

His debut against Leeds was one of the greatest goalkeeping performances I have ever seen.

I question Warzycha getting a mention too. He was alright, good on his day.

Did Tommy Johnson ever get on the pitch for us? I know we took him on loan for a month but I dunno if he actually got any playing time.
