Player Valuation: £70m
I completely understand why people are concerned- the lack of transfer activity is unsettling and the fact we have a few injuries adds to this.

Now Im one of those people who waits until the event takes place before I start whinging and moaning about it. Sure we havent broke the bank (yet) like some have wanted , we have lost a couple of players but that doesnt definitely mean we are in for a rough season.

We have some decent youth team players coming through and our big names are back from injury. Although teh depth isnt what it could be.

I have a funny feeling that we will dink Blackburn at the weekend and put in a hell of a performance. Times like these can actually work in your favour and galvanise the side to perform together.

So to all the uber negative on this board with calls of- 'We are a joke' 'Its a disgrace' 'We are a shambles' etc etc. I say this- hold on until Saturday when you may or may not have something real and solid to moan about.

We have in my opinion one of the best back 5 in the league, we have a player that can score against any team in the league, we have a gifted midfielder that on his day is one of the best in the business and we have one of the best goal scoring midfielders in Europe to come back.

Blackburn- well they've got Fowler and Robinson in  Everton 3 Blackburn 0.

I totaly understand were your coming from mate. But we should never have been in this situation in the first place. At the end of the season every one knew we were very sort on numbers. Now the season is apon us, it's even worse. Any company worth it's sault would have rectified the situation. We have'nt even started.

3-0 over B'burn would be great, but just papers over the cracks.

Sorry danny but it's the club that have embarrassed themselfs an us this pre-season. The way we conduct are selfs is very poor at best.

Oh come on mate, can I just highlight the list of available players for the Blackburn game.

1. Tim Howard
2. Phil Neville
3. Joseph Yobo
4. Joleon Lescott
5. Nuno Valente
6. Mikel Arteta
7. Phil Jagielka
8. Leon Osman
9. Leighton Baines
10. Yakubu
11. Jack Rodwell

12. Iain Turner
13. John Ruddy
14. Jose Baxter
15. Dan Gosling
16. Lukas Jutkiewicz
17. John Paul Kissock
18. John Irving

Those highlighted are those that have very little experience in either that area of the pitch, or in senior football in general.

Now for me, it has happened, we have had over 10 weeks to get it sorted, we have released 5 players, and brought in none.

If you can find a glimmer of hope then your very lucky. But for me there is nothing to be optimistic about. It is a disgrace, and the majority are not wrong. Its usually the minority who is.

A fair few on here have embarrassed themselves this pre-season.

Come on mate, even you have to see that time has run out, ok we have until the end of August, but we need them now, last week, last month. Its no good Moyes moaning that he needs numbers. He's been told he has money, we sold AJ last bloody week, why hasn't he been replaced???

Disagree.

I have total faith in Moyes. He knows what he's doing. Its obvious he has at least £20million (McFadden & Johnson money and a bit more), the same amount, if not more than he has had to spend any other pre-season.

If he wanted to, he could have brought in a few bodies to boost numbers but he obviously is confident he will have quality by the end of the transfer window.

Fans want us to bring in quality to bridge the gap between us and 4th, the man is trying his best to do that. Moutinho will, Sidwell wont.

We are no worse off than we were last year. Cahill, Vaughan nearly back to full fitness, Arteta is... with a few youngsters gaining a good pre-season under their belt.

The fans who have called Everton a joke and a disgrace should have a serious look at themselves.

Well you may as well leave this board, dont go to any games, dont read or watch anymore news on the club because in your eyes were [Poor language removed] and thats the end of it. Seya later.

Agree, it's shambolic. We must have the smallest senior squad in the entire premiership, including the promoted sides. Admittedly we have some significant quality but the above teamsheet shows the paper thin nature.

It's not beyond the realms that we get a further injury or two in the next few weeks and we would then be facing playing two to three kids every game in the most physically demanding league in the world.

Stop getting personal and grow up.

Any football fan, sorry any person with any kind of intelligence can see that we have a problem, and it has no indication of getting better soon.

We keep hearing people are signing, yet nobody does. We are hearing that deals are done, yet reports completely contradict them.

And Danny, sorry mate but we are worse off. We have 5 less players. Vaughan is banned and Cahill is still injured, plus we have now lost Pienaar for 6 weeks and Anichebe is in bloody China. How are we not worse off?

Why is it?

Its a better line up than what faced Blackburn on two occasions last year

Danny, mic you can't bury your heads forever.

Were just saying what we see. No need to go on the attack. No matter what you say, thing aint rosey.

Agreed, it sounds like Ian Ross and Bill Kenwright talking. I held off as long as I could because I thought we would address the situation sooner, can't believe we are 4 days from the season and we are still not addressing the situation.
