It s generally accepted that Stephen Lee, Trump and Neil Robertson have more cue power than everyone else in the game. Jimmy White in his day and Alex Higgins also demonstrated remarkable power.

Power isn’t really the greatest attribute to have on a snooker table though is it. Precision, clear thinking, positional play, cue ball control , break building, safety.... I’d place all that above power to be honest.

I think Hendry was more naturally talented, given what he achieved with a much later start. He also holds certain records, despite the fact there were much less tournaments in his day.

Alex Higgins too, as he essentially taught himself how to play.

Jimmy was my favourite player and still is my fav all time player but he’s not a patch on ronnie

His father played snooker and he would go with him to the halls. His dad also built him a snooker room at home to practice. He also had the luxury of being able to study Davis and Higgins on TV. That certainly was not the case for Higgins.

The point is when Ronnie reached the age Hendry was when he first picked up a cue he already had five years of training behind him.
