Zhao will retire the Crucible curse.
I think he will romp to another title. The others are so in-and-out it's ridiculous. Higgins is having a great season, but he can't win big titles. He's beating people who are more up and down than mercury, like Selby, who will take you to the cleaners for five or six frames and then go AWOL for the next six. I have no idea what's going on in his head, but he looks like someone who can't concentrate for longer than a session. Higgins, meanwhile, ploughs on on talent alone: miraculous at his age. But not enough to win.
Trump won't put it together over a tournament. He hasn't done so in over a year. Will he tomorrow? He's certainly due. But in Sheffield I can't see him doing enough over the long haul - and he's due to meet Selby in the last eight if Selby can somehow manage to get there.
O'Sullivan-Higgins is slated for the last 16. But which Ronnie will turn up? Robertson is a top four seed and being schooled regularly in big matches...
So, Zhao by default for me.
