Most finals I support one player, but tonight I'd have been happy for either to win.

This imo was the for when John Higgins years ago received favouritism over an serious allegations of maybe maybe match fixing with eveidence of no life or punishment ban .......
That lax event has maybe encouraged other snooker players .....

The Higgins case is a difficult one, he said he was approached but didn't act on it and didnt report it because he felt intimidated. And he got a 6 months ban for it. I think when it isn't a multiple champion in all the events and a mainstay of the tour and childhood snooker practice partner of Hendry it's probably easier to punish more severely.
