They should have fans as commentators, normal lads who have had a few bevvys and a couple of stripes beforehand. Would make it a lot more interesting.
I don't mind a woman commentator. They come with less baggage than the likes of Tyler or Tyldesly and tend not to try and make snidey remarks all the time.Too many women involved in this world cup, every time I switch it on I don't know who they are. Where are the knowledgeable middle aged men who have either played the game or written about it?
Or a "BaCk In My DaY" commentator.I don't mind a woman commentator. They come with less baggage than the likes of Tyler or Tyldesly and tend not to try and make snidey remarks all the time.
See on paper that’s a good idea. In practice we’d end up with those watchalong freaks that stream themselves jizzing over Liverpool games. They should have fans as commentators, normal lads who have had a few bevvys and a couple of stripes beforehand. Would make it a lot more interesting.

I do like McQuoist as he's genuinely enthusiastic about football unlike say Sutton who seems peevish much of the time. I'll go instead if he doesn't want the gig.Or a "BaCk In My DaY" commentator.
Again, McCoist and Champion are great for that - Jon ribs Ally the entire time for some random Rangers thing or two lol , McCoist usually is aware that the world has changed and it's not the 80s anymore and spends time praising/analysing equally for attack or defense.
They'll probably not get another game, right?

Absolutely. Just the stadium noise.I would love a no commentary option when watching on TV
Instead how about pick your stand sound where its like actually being in a particular section of the ground and you can actually experience the atmosphere as live. Probably need an over 18 button but thats how I would love to watch a match on TV.
I might even tune into the oppositions supporters from time to time, especially if they are losing, just to listen to the fume/crying lol
I agree that Alex Scott is likeable but needs to adapt as a pundit. She does uptalk every time and seriously needs to modify her delivery as it comes accross as an annoying sales pitch or a presidential rant. Perhaps she is trying too hard. She’s a bit hit and miss, but I like her.
I don’t think Scott is too bad, I just think she’s been struck by the media brush, so now over exaggerates and over states pretty much everything.
Aluko and Carney just talk for filling time and nothing else, fair few men who are equally dour too.
Ally McCoist who is one of my favourite sports media personalities and is a good listen on most other things, has started to drive me crazy as a co-commentator. Verbal diarrhea is an understatement. Non-stop interactions with blame infested analysis of what seems every movement. Less talk is better, not more.Sutton has a media persona he has to deliver. Same as Savage. Its tedious and pointless. Basically football pundits on Love Island.
Mcoist has none of that. Genuine, and an experienced broadcaster.
I cant watch it on mute even though I'd love to, find it soulless with no crowd notice etc. Some folks on here have not discovered the 'mute' button on the tele remotes.
