Between now to 2032….the UK media criticises the Saudi Arabian Government for its human rights record.

2032 to 2034…..the UK media goes into overdrive about the Saudi Arabian Government’s human rights record.

2034…..the World Cup begins with England making a protest gesture against the Saudi Arabian Government before kick off in their opening match.

FIFA warn England that they face expulsion from the tournament if they continue with the protest gesture.

England immediately apologises to FIFA and the Saudi Arabian Government and agree to stop making the protest gesture.

At the end of the World Cup, the UK media, who have been reporting on the tournament whilst staying in 5 star luxury accommodation courtesy of and all paid for by the Saudi Arabian Government, gush breathlessly about what a wonderful tournament it was.

Everyone packs up and goes home and human rights in Saudi Arabia are never mentioned again.

Multiple countries all over the world hosting games is grim. Half the point of the World Cup is about the Nation holding it. Could maybe have 2/3 smaller nations that border each other.
