Apart from anything else I don't think you should be able to host a world cup if you've never managed to qualify for one properly.

Can't tell from the angles shown originally for sure but i think ive figured out what they gave the offside for.
As the free kick came in, 1 Ecuador player and the qatari keeper challenged for the ball, it went up in the air, bounced then an Ecuador player headed it to the one who crossed it for Valencia.
Assuming the Eudador player won the original challenge with the keeper, when he did so the other Ecuador player looks like his foot is marginally in an offside position, it then goes up in the air, bounces then he heads it.
So when the ball was last played by a team mate he was in an offside position, and then became active when he headed it.
I think thats what they'll say it was ruled out for. Id they had took a bung and were gonna wrongfully rule it out, then a foul on the keeper or high boot would have been less dodgy decisions then giving an offside that wasn't.
