Looks like the hosts were holding the Lucky Kopite Nice Draw ticket (last used in the Champions League this season) - so they can hand it back to Herr Klopp when Spartak visit Anfield next week..

As for England well we must have had plenty of inside help from Uncle Vlad to pull a group we MIGHT get out of. But no doubt they'll be some slippery customer waiting in the Round of Arsenal to eliminate us on penalties..

Honestly I don't think it's as good a draw for Russia as everyone is saying

They don't have anyone as good as both Egypt and uruguays best player

Could see them finishing third in that group quite easily

Was thinking the same thing. Uruguay we know are no-one's fool, and Egypt are the champions of Africa. Which means it's a lot of pressure on Russia to win their opening game against the Saudis. I'd pick Uruguay and Egypt to get through in that group.

The most even group I think is the one containing Poland, Senegal, Japan and Colombia. Hard to pick the two to get out of that group. My picks to get out of the other groups, Spain & Portugal, France & Denmark, Argentina & Nigeria, Brazil & Switzerland, Germany & Korea (think Korea may be the surprise package), Belgium & England, and I'll go for Colombia & Poland.
