Just a thing I have because we now see it over here. Lazy spelling then.

Not lazy in an American. It was an attempt to rationalize [they say rationalise] the language, and to make American English more rational and consistent, and hence better, than British English - a lot of changes followed on from Webster's dictionary in 1806 - it had been a project of several of the founding fathers too. They gave up after the first few fences though.

Of course, it is not only lazy but impolite here to use Americanisms. Add it drives me mad when my offspring come out with American idioms - the curse of youtube.

I think pundit is a decent word, especially in its original Sanskrit meaning of "learned scholar", but it is the modern expanded usage of the word to include any rent-a-gob ex-RS with no idea that is particularly annoying.

I thought Nek Minnit was a kiwi word. I've only ever seen it used by New Zealand rugby players i.e. Savea, Milner Skudder, Sopoaga.
