That's great mate. Enjoy it. Make sure you get there in time to hear Z-cars, goose bump time! Hope you get a better response from your wife than I did with mine. Took her once in 1986, home to Oxford if memory serves me right, sat in main stand 3-0 I believe, she took a book and read all the way through the game, hardly lifted her eyes when we scored, in fact looked a bit annoyed with the disturbance. Needless to say never took her again. Mind you she never expressed a desire to be asked. :)

Congrats on you getting wed but you could have picked a better game than the Stoke one. It's traditionally one of the most awful spectacles of the season. Perhaps you will get lucky this year
Maybe just maybe Rooney will know. He will be given a free kick late in the game and look up at me (for some reason he will know where we are sitting) and then he will deliver one of the greatest free kicks ever and all that will be left from the celebration will be Crouch doing the saddest robot dance ever seen

My wife actually enjoys watching the matches when we go to our Everton bar. She would be a terrible manager as she yells at the players especially when they miss a shot and says that they would be fired on her team. I swear she fired Barkley and Rom a bunch of times last year

You really are clutching at straws there lol

Not corny at all mate, I still love that feeling of walking up the steps and then seeing the pitch, and I've done it hundreds of times. Just approaching the ground and seeing all the fans is magical.
It's far from corny. Walking out from the concourse to see a packed Goodison and all the atmosphere gives me goosebumps each and every time.

And I've done it for decades! As the saying goes... Those who understand need no explanation. Those that don't understand don't matter!

If you're in town before hand @MichiganToffee-NSNO, although I expect you'll probably be around the ground, try the Ship & Mitre. Great blue pub!

A lady who we sat with at the game also said we should have told the club that we had made the trip to Goodison all the way from NZ as they are normally pretty good about making a special mention of that sort of thing over the PA at halftime (if you're into that sort of thing of course).
Have made the haj from Florida, and this is defo true. On the way to the match, some blues from north Wales said the same thing. We scrawled our names and hometown on a piece of paper and gave it to one of them. Come the half, we got our names called as promised. Gobsmacked.

Such it is to be chosen from afar. Worth hanging online with the riffraff we see here on GOT. :D

That and the pregame dogging at the Lisbon. (Wait... What?)

Seconded. I always go the Ship & Mitre then The Spellow before the game. Ritual.
