What a fuss about a smacker on the lips. It's not every day you win the world cup.
I'm not so sure Brian Clough didn't go about kissing people spontaneously.
I was thinking the same thing myself. I mean, as an Irishman, I can assure people that the Limerick hurling team have received kisses like that on a daily basis over the last five years...

saw the video where he says he won't resign like he's nelson mandela or martin luther king giving some kind of big speech

saw a bunch of people clapping him as well afterwards and I am sure one of them was the Spain Women's National Team Manager

all the spanish female players have said they won't play for Spain again until this kissing fella resigns

surely if their own national team manager is also applauding him they can't condone their manager's actions either?

They hate him too, apparently.

The Spanish FA having a nightmare here. Handling Kissgate about as well as Everton handle a transfer window.

I admit, at first glance I thought it wasn't too bad and that the woman involved was a willing participant, but her comments immediately afterwards and the seeming forced statement backtracking, left a very sour taste in the mouth and completely changed my mind.

There’s the obvious massive shift in society think on these things and when words like consent, assault and misogyny get used then everything ramps up considerably.

I’m not 100% sure what the guy has said in the meantime but maybe it was a spare of the moment reflex thing he regrets and doesn’t know how to deescalate - he probably knows his time as president is on borrowed time.

Whether it’s being weaponised or whether it’s all very valid is something that will likely play out and a lot of this will clearly be through the various media channels.

I appreciate I’ve commented on this but there is also a bit of fatigue setting in around it.

His refusal to admit to any wrong doing proves he’s an opportunistic disgusting creep.
That the association are backing him to the hilt as well, after backing a coach that a lot of players had serious issues with. They're having an absolute shocker. It would be nice if more of the male players stood up as well in addition to the one who has done so thus far.

When I click on the BBC website this pops up as the lead story. It's also got that live update thing than genuinely serious events get, like the war in Ukraine and the cable car rescue the other day. Unbelievable overreaction to a guy doing something stupid.

Six separate links on the BBC Football page related to this story as well, is that really necessary?
