I've now officially watched more of the England women's team than the mens in the last 20 years.

Been an enjoyable 20 minutes tbf to the girls.

Just started following our female team at the start of last season as a friend of a friend is involved.

Bit behind the times but it's got me more involved. How our keeper has got black eyes I've no idea as she's not a small lass in that area.

It’s hard to put the argument across without coming across sexist, because that’s obviously not my issue.

Maybe it’s the physicality, height. Maybe I’m spoilt by the mens game, it just feels like it’s a really solid product with one slight con.

I can’t take anything away from England here, though, they’ve been excellent it’d been a good watch, enough of a reason I’d watch on Sunday if I was in.

The womens game will grow off this, rightly so, it’s been a good tournament.

No I get your point (as a woman) like that 4th was poor by the Swedish keeper regardless of height or sex. It was just bad keeping
But I do think there is a big flaw in that women are smaller than men but have the same goal size. Due to the size of the space they have to cover, certain shots can look way inside the goal making you think the keeper should have had that. But sometimes is just because they cant physically reach.

For me its the one part of the womens game that should be looked at - unless we can start producing masses of 6ft plus women who love football!! Whilst women are physically smaller I think we may always encounter this issue

This is the great thing about the ladies game…ok they are not as technical etc as the men, but like Rugby there’s no play acting, diving, rolling around etc etc which is prevalent in the mens game……

If you can sort a load of 6ft goalkeepers, you’ve got a really good sport.
It’s the one blemish though, and as you said, I’m not sure it can just be fixed tjst easily.

The tournament will hopefully do some good for the womens game though, and why shouldn’t it? Excellent advert.

I recall the euros in like 2003, and there were sub 1,000 attendances.
