Na it's a trophy mate and we're out of it only one left to go for and that's another year. That's why I go the game for the hope of winning something.... What's the point otherwise
I agree with you mate. I just don't think the other premier league teams look at it that way. That's why they all play reserves.

And just like that…our early season optimism evaporates.
Yup. Nothing much has changed. Same old manager, same old Everton.

It is what it is. We'll putter along for the season, probably finish about 13th, but any notion we're going places looks a little fanciful right now. That 9/10 transfer window some were claiming has quickly devalued.

And, oh, let's none of us get any hopes up we might go on an FA Cup run in January. I'm sure the manager will have his reasons for devaluing that competition too.

No away wins at a Top 4 side in 11 years…ah it was all down to a lack of luck. Nothing Moyes could solve
As far as I am aware every game is only worth 3 points so that record is pretty much irrelevant. Those team lose a couple of home games a year at most. Chelsea famously never lost at home under Jose I think in his first spell. How many would you expect us to have won?

Which made it an even better opportunity for us. We should've let those other teams bomb out while we treat it the same as any other fixture. Try and beat everybody, play our strongest team whenever we can. We'll likely have only 42 or 43 (maybe even 41) games this season now and I bet we still put out a dog of a team in the FA cup in January.
