Totally agree, and as I said at halftime the moment is going to come where we have to decide if Moyes is good enough for where we want to go. The fun part is we don’t actually have to give Moyes more time to find out where he can take us. We know where it is. We’ve got two decades to show us. So if we don’t think that’s enough, and personally I don’t, we really don’t have to wait until the summer to move on. If the guy we want to take over is out there go ahead and do it.

Do you have any examples of sacking a manager in September being the catalyst for a team to push on to the next level? Seems like an absolutely insane thing to do to me.

Too much quality taken out of the team cost us. Lacked any cohesion due to not playing together enough and of course taking the better players out.

This ‘play your reserve keeper’ for league cup games thing really needs to stop.

Started with Wenger and Fergie when playing weaker teams but we do not have the luxury to drop our only world class player besides a loanee

Would prefer to see 2nd goalie get the odd league game at home against a bottom club than in a cup when so much is at stake. That, or just keep them benched, goalies know how to bench sit

Moyes showed in his first stint he had a ceiling, whether that was away wins against the “Top 4” or significant cup runs. Showed it again today.

There isn’t a manager in existence who would have done better than Moyes in his first spell.

Woeful. Moyes has a lot to answer for. Hopefully the Friedkins have a lot higher standards and expectations than when he was here last time with Kenwright just telling him how wonderful he is.

I'd be surprised if TFG really care all that much about the second most relevant domestic cup competition. So long as Moyes stays on course to deliver a mid-table-ish finish, thus protecting (if not increasing) the value of their asset, I doubt an early EFL cup exit will really matter to them and their business plans.
