Other than maybe Jimmy Garner, not sure anyone really looked up for the game. Even on both sides. The stadium looked quite empty, the atmosphere seemed flat, looked like 2 reserve sides playing a pre-season training game that no one particularly wanted to be doing late on a Tuesday night. Total lack of interest all round when we should have gone as strong as possible.

Our fans sounded so quiet as well. I think years of the same faces suffering this crap has caught up with them. Time to open it up to the new generation.

Soon as I saw all the changes I knew we'd lose, Wolves are still a Premier League side.
Disappointed beyond belief.
Will we ever win anything again.
So are we, and they made more changes to their line up then we did. I still think we went into the game in a similar way we went to Leeds with. We should have got at them early, but took a very slow approach and paid the price. Both goals were very soft, as was our attaching play.
There was one point in the second half we got a throw near the dugout and Moyes went and grabbed the ball and threw it to our throw taker, as if to help get things going quickly. We must have taken 40 seconds to take the throw, which summed up our game plan, a serious lack of urgency to get the game restarted, in a game we were losing to a poor side.

Woke up still very annoyed.

Has to be the last time we see a good few of them in a royal blue jersey, if we are a serious team, that’s that, bomb squad them and promote some youth prospects to the bench as the back ups.

Sick of saying it, I’m sure some of the kids would have put on a better showing than many of the seasoned pros did last night.

….i think if you make a statement like that you need to say which youth players are capable of making the step-up and in what positions, accepting that Armstrong wasn’t available.

Have to say, I’m a little disappointed with both Barry and Dibling. I know both are young and both need to settle after big moves but neither have come cheap and I’d be wanting to see signs that we have invested in special talents. Jury is out, Dibling looks quality in possession but no signs of real attacking threat at this point from either.

And hopefully next manager we have in place we need to ensure that they are here to win things. Can't continue with managers who are here just to make up the numbers.

McNeil is one footed and slow, he's no dud but he's a confidence player who took every single set piece for a team playing for set pieces, of course he got assists? "Kept us up" as much as Doucoure has - we've dropped them and are playing better football overall, tonight aside.
I'm not disagreement with your statement, but the has to play some minutes lad.

My slightly more rational take, following a kip:

I’m fine with changes for cup games, I just think the team selection was wrong and imbalanced. I think Dibling needs ballers on the pitch with him, not coming on for him. Ultimately, big failure by Moyes but I WILL say that he made good, early subs to his credit.

I said it last night but it bears repeating: Don’t win against West Ham and this turns into a poor start to the season.
