Wolfsburg - how do we line up??

WHY would you play robles?! unless your guessing what Martinez is gonna do...

Well ideally Howard would play every single game but he's gonna give Robles the cup games I reckon, or at least the earlier stages of the cups. Including Europa that is.

To be fair we need to put a bit of trust in the lad, I know we tend to think he's a bit of a liability but he needs our faith first and foremost if he's to improve!

surely this should be just as important as the league?
I think it is but we simply can't play with the same line up every week.

How I'd go:

Tim Howard
Seamus Coleman - John Stones - Sylvain Distin - Luke Garbutt
Mo Besic - Darron Gibson
Christian Atsu - Leon Osman - Kevin Mirallas
Samuel Eto

* Although I think Robles will play over Howard and if Distin was injured swap him for Jags.

Seeing that we have Palace on Sunday can see him playing a strong team mixed with youth and Jimmy Mc playing further up the pitch like he did when he played for the ROI.
Howard
Coleman Stones Distin Garbutt
Gibson
McCarthy Besic
Atsu Lukaku Mirallas

Same team that we had out against West Brom for me. Got to be looking at winning this competition in my eyes so it should be taken seriously.

Yep, we are 4 games into the season where for 3 of them the lads haven't looked fit enough. For the next 7 games and for the start of the competitions like the EL and League cup I would say just look at making no more than 2-3 changes at a time but keep it as strong as possible. Nothing worse than saying we need to rest players then get beat against Wolfsburg and Swansea. Winning breeds confidence so stuff em all and no one will want a rest.

In my opinion, Martinez will want to take this seriously but at the same time he'll see it as a good chance to experiment. His best chance to do that is in the home games, so I am definitely expecting some changes from Saturday's XI. I certainly feel Garbutt will get a run out and at least one of Besic/Gibson will surely start. Lukaku is another definite to be rested you'd imagine.
