Wolfsburg away details

Also staying in Alexzanderplatz area of Berlin on Wed and Thur (train back after game) 8 of us flying from East Mids Wed morning, can't wait. In one of neutral areas, not sure which block as a mate sorted the tickets. Can't wait

That's what 4 of us are doing,neatly hours drive to East Midlands, in central Berlin for midday and staying near Alexzanderplatz

Seems that way Howards (Howard's Way - oh the painful memories...).

But must be somewhere we can congregate, surely?

Altes Brauhaus looks good, but it's a couple of miles west - in the opposite direction.

Don't want to get marooned there and it closes at midnight, so not much chance to party afterwards either...

Anyone got any other suggestions, apart from some plastic so-called Irish Bar?

Been told that the Christmas market will be open so there will be a few bars and possible congregation areas.

Anyone driving to Wolfsburg ? We're leaving Tuesday lunch for euro tunnel then just over 2 hour drive to Antwerp we're we'll stay overnight in Tulip Inn and have a few Belgian beers then onto Hannover probably 3 to 4 hours to our hotel Mercure Mitte there until Friday got the Lower Saxony ticket for trains to game

been to berlin a few times only got in berghain once and that was sunday morning tried friday and saturday but they turn down 99% of the people

I was in Berlin in September we never tried Berghain but went to Watergate and it was the same there, we got in but loads were getting knocked back. Dress casual is the key and don't look like a tourist.

Berlin is brillaint though. Although I'm staying in Hannover for this.

The bouncers are a bit racist there and only let in Girls or locals. Loads of other places if you don't get in though.

Staying at the City Journal hotel in Wolfsburg on Thursday night, less than a mile from the ground.

Looks a bit of a dead place though and hardly anywhere to go for a drink before, during and after?

There is nothing there, Berlin and Hannover are an hour away by train so you have choices mate

Nice one we go to Belgium quite a bit so are quite familiar with the likes of Antwerp should just be able to squeeze a few Maredsous and leffe down before we retire for the night
