No. I'm sick of this big club - small club stuff that's been going on for years and the best argument we can put
up for Everton is that even though we haven't won a trophy for years, we haven't gone away. We're still competing
at the top.

There are many clubs who've won plenty in the past, like us, but have fallen away dismally.

I love it that Everton hasn't done that and I hope it never does.

We can win the league again without thinking about going down anytime.

Evertonians cannot have that arrogance in this era. I'm in my late 20's and whilst I am proud of what our club has achieved in the past, in my lifetime, Leicester City have been more successful. 1 League Title last season, and 2 League Cups in the last 20 years.

I am not used to winning as an Evertonian, I am used to us falling at every tough hurdle we face be it Champions league qualifiers, Merseyside Derbies or FA Cup Semi Finals.

Forgot about them winning League Cups as well, doesn't make us look good reading that.

Our top flight longevity status is one of our prides, so other teams who don't have that honour may not care as much about it as we do. It's one reason why I'd love Arsenal to get relegated.

Depressingly true.

I voted yes because I just don't see us winning the league in my lifetime, or at least for many years. I've seen some mention of us winning it in the next 15 years but I cannot see it. Back in the 90's there were about 5 or 6 clubs constantly around the top and it is the same now. People can mention Leicester but that was a total one off.

Given that this is a hypothetical situation, if I was told that we would never win it in my lifetime unless this scenario was a reality then I would take it. I'll be honest, just witnessing Everton win one trophy would keep me content for ages, even if it was a League Cup.

Having said that, obviously I would love to win the league, but if we were to become a club like Spurs but actually won a few trophies as well as challenging the top 4, then I would much sooner see us do that than win the league and get relegated. Even replicate what Liverpool have during the PL years without the CL win. A few FA Cup wins, a few League Cups, regular top 4 finishes, European nights in Madrid and Munich and frequent derby wins would keep me happy. I see that as a realistic possibility under Moshiri, albeit an optimistic one.

Honestly not fishing. I don't blame people for saying yes, I had a fight with both sides of my brain before I fell on the no side. I'm extremely proud of our history only being out of the top division for a few seasons but at the end of the day as other posters have said who cares but us?

Obviously relegation would hurt like a beyatch, but I was trying to get into our psyche how that is more important than titles.

A tenth title would be in the history books, help keep us ahead of new rivals city and chelsea and peg back Arsenal/RS/utd by one. We would still be the team with the most years in the top division as long as we bounce back up within a few years and maybe have another chance of trophy winning the championship along the way.

I miss the feeling of winning that's all and when you look on at envy at other clubs success it hurts.

At the end of the day this question is pointless as it will never happen, I don't believe we will ever get relegated after winning a title. But how long it takes to get that title is another point altogether, some people have said within 15 years, but I guess we would have said even less than that back in 1987 after our last title when in a better position to win more and yet here we are 30 years later.

So I asked the question because all logic says I should take the success now but for some reason I can't say that. I wondered if other blues had that same conflict.
