Adjustments made in desperation don’t quite equate a change in his overall approach, do they mateDid you watch the second half last night?
I do feel like this would bring Richarlison back into the fold. I feel like 4-2-3-1 is the worst for him especially. The thing is the system doesn't have to not work. It's the way he's going about setting up the system that is causing it to not work.
That said I do think the best teams have shown that a system that allows the wingers to act more as true forwards is the way forward in the modern game. So 4-3-3, 3-4-3 or something of that nature would be best.

That may be a waste of time in CM, but after seeing the speed and creativity Iwobi and Kean brought yesterday, seeing them plus maybe Richarlison lead a line would be a remarkable change. Obviously it doesn’t fix everything, but it could be a start. The problem more than any formation is the ability of the players. We've still got Schneiderlin starting which is just embarrassing. You can play any system you want but with him on the pitch you're wasting your time.
Bernard is very lightweight and has never really played anywhere but LW. I don't see him being a box to box type central midfielder despite his admirable work rate.I do feel like this would bring Richarlison back into the fold. I feel like 4-2-3-1 is the worst for him especially.
Imagine this 4-3-3
Iwobi.........Kean........Richarlison
Bernard....Delph/Gbamin....Davies/Gomes
Digne....Mina....Keane....Coleman/Sidibe
Pickford
I know he's the classic whipping boy and he has done a lot to earn it but was Schneiderlin honestly worse than Sigurdsson last night? He was better than Gomes for sure. The problem more than any formation is the ability of the players. We've still got Schneiderlin starting which is just embarrassing. Problem is it stops digne getting forward if he has Bernard and iwobi aheadI do feel like this would bring Richarlison back into the fold. I feel like 4-2-3-1 is the worst for him especially.

Yeah I was just about to put this myself we would have balance in the midfield the front 3 have pace power intelligence that would be are best 11 problem is there never fit hahaBernard is very lightweight and has never really played anywhere but LW. I don't see him being a box to box type central midfielder despite his admirable work rate.
Best way to play that in midfield for me is honestly Gbamin/Schneiderlin behind Gomes and Delph. He hasn't done it in years but Delph at Villa was an excellent player in that role. It's how he got to City.
And yet you still wasted your own time to comment that. What say you Frank, you’re obviously intriguedComplete wesh of time
