Will Rooney play again for Everton?

But every fan is different. If we did sign him, some would be happy, some would be indifferent and some would be unhappy.

You can't please everybody. The only thing that matters is what the gaffer wants to do. Roberto wouldn't buy Rooney because he's a past blue, no more than he'd buy Anichebe.

I take your point. I would question how many Blues would be happy with him coming back. At the very least it would totally divide the fanbase, and that's never a good starting point. The Rooney issue was one of the key events in the last 30 years of our history and can't be underestimated. A lot of people feel very strongly about it (negatively towards Rooney), even more than me.

If we bought Rooney for £25million in the summer, I'd be ecstatic. A strike force of Rooney and Lukaku would be ace for us right now. I imagine most knowledgeable fans would be happy with that.

If we're talking about signing him in 3 years, then I don't have an opinion, as I don't know what sort of shape he'll be in then.

Id be furious if we blew 25 mil and them sort of wages on a 29 year old, never mind Rooney

He'll be in worse shape in 3 years time. Call it a hunch.

I think when people are talking about him coming back, they're talking about a cut price transfer deal when he's 33/34. I think if he was available for £25m, there'd be more influent clubs after him anyway. Your Tottenhams of this world, definitely.

I'm not particularly pleased we spent £28m on 21 year old Lukaku, to be perfectly honest. I think in terms of actual value/worth, we overpaid by about £10m.

Personally think that ship has now sailed. Guarantee the older and worst he gets, him and his agent will be all over us like a rash. Hope we decline any offer when they come knocking ...

If it was 3 or 4 years ago we probably overpaid but With the money coming into the game and his record already and age on his side i think its about right for Rom.

You'd be furious if we had Lukaku and Rooney up-front next season? Okay mate :P

I do take your point though. We're not a club who can spend £25m on a 29-year-old. It would be boss if we could though. Tell me you wouldn't like to see Lukaku and Rooney up-front for us next season......

I wouldnt like to see rooney anywhere near us , hes a fat little money grabbing bellend.

LOL, he's not a money grabber at all. He's earned every penny, judging by the going rate. He's certainly no Bogarde or Ballotelli.
Even UTDs fans acknowledge hes a money grabber.

His wage is the going rate for the likes of ronaldo and messi, rooneys never come close to them

Remember there was a few rumblings when his United deal was coming up like a year or two ago. That ship has well gone.

Don't want him back where he can't help a team. Had his chance and didn't take it.
