Will RM play the best XI in the cup?

The FA Cup is more prestigious than the league cup so I would think RM would play the best XI now that it is his last chance for silverware.

You can experiment more with the league cup knowing that the FA Cup is always there should you get knocked out of the league cup.

Barring a whole boatload of injuries, we've got enough cover to play a decent team while resting some.

I'd rotate a few, but not loads. Lukaku/Mirallas/Barkley on the bench to come on. Give the likes of Stones, Jelavic, Alcaraz a game.

This whole fitness/injuries thing when talking about going for the league and the Cup... FA Cup games are played on weekends. Barring replays, it's not like we're trying to fit in extra midweek games.

Our second XI would be something like:

___________Joel
Hibbert Stones Alcaraz Oviedo
______Heitinga Osman
__Deulofeu Naismith Gueye
__________Jelavic

I don't think he'll go the whole hog but I imagine that he'd want to give game time to the players who have hardly featured so far (Joel, Hibbert, Alcaraz, Heitinga, Naismith and Jelavic). He's also said that he wants extra bodies to cope with the extra games in the New Year, so he may well rotate. Against QPR he might try something like:

___________Joel
Stones Jagielka Alcaraz Baines
_______McCarthy Barry
___Mirallas Barkley Pienaar
_________Jelavic

(Howard, Lukaku, Naismith, Heitinga, Hibbert, Osman, Oviedo)

We MUST play our strongest team against QPR. I'm dreading this game to be honest and have an awful feeling that that Jenas bloke will do something against us.

He will rotate and we will lose.

Proper banana skin this one, very tough game, this is not the shower of ****z qpr were last season and we couldn't beat them then!
