Will Barkley reach the heights Gerrard did?

Gerrard is a snidey piece of work, and not half as good as the media want him to be, but nevertheless you can't dispute that we'd probably love a player to retire having had as big an impact on the pitch for us as he did for them.

Ross is probably the nearest we have in terms of playing style. Do you reckon he will reach that level (or beyond)?
 

Ask me this time next year.
He's had one good season and now one bad season. Need a reaction and improvement from the lad next Season and hopefully it'll be the Ross Barkley that'll we'll end up seeing for years to come.

I'm not saying that he can't become as good as him, but you make your mark on the biggest stages, and we rarely reach them. I'm hopeful ross will help us there but i doubt it

He can still do great things for us, fantastic things, but won't get the media acclaim at little old everton...
 

not sure he has same length of jab so probably not. the DJs of Merseyside can sleep safe in their beds.
 
Want to see Ross play with more aggression. This will probably come with confidence. A confident Barkley will impose himself on games much more
