Non of the scab six will hire a English, or British, manager in the foreseeable future imo. Will take a club like Leicester to win the league with an Englishman in charge, and I cant see that happening soon. And which English manager is best placed to win the league in the near future, who would it be? Gerrard, Lampard, Potter, Rooney? Maybe even someone who's not even gone into management yet, as I don't think it will be soon.
1-1 scrub thatEddie Howe

Just cant see any of them hiring them, they want a big name. Unless Gerrard wins a cple of cups and regular European football, I dont think the rs will go for him after klipperty. Just my opinion like.I don't know, I was basing those names on the likelihood of getting a big job in the near future. I can 100% see Gerrard getting the Liverpool job, Potter will end up if not at Spurs / Arsenal then Leicester, and possibly eventually at City. Rooney will probably end up as a minimum at us, and probably at United eventually. Lampard has probably blown his chance.
I like Southgate and think he has done an excellent job with England, but he isnt a manager that could take a club to win the league imo.Southgate has taken England to the euro finals. If he has a decent world cup I could see one of the bigger teams going for him. Depends if he fancies going back into club football

Gerrard is nailed on for the reds job make no mistake wether he does well at Villa or not... to much money involved for it not to happen.Just cant see any of them hiring them, they want a big name. I would love to see an Englishman be in charge of a team that wins the league - apart from the rs though. Its the likes of the owners though, like them across the park, who have redued the chance of this happening, they want big names who make them money. Sometimes, I wish the scab six had gone, imo football would be better without them.Yes. Sooner or later, an English manager will be given the keys to a club with a roster even an English manager can't screw up.
It's very hard to see that happening in the next five years, though. I would argue that Southgate remains your manager primarily because you don't have anyone obviously better waiting in the wings, and that is saying something.
