Wildlife in your Garden

Sparrow Hawks are a bit of a rarity around West Derby in my experience. Plenty of Kestrels and a regular nesting Buzzard plus the recent arrival of the Peregrines. But maybe.

I saw one bombing across Queens Drive, the Stoneycroft end last Friday evening. They’re everywhere, just easily over looked, unless they’re in garden taking a bird.

Digging out a patch of my garden today and the robins are more or less on the end of my pick axe queuing up for worms and grubs

We’ve got a pair nesting in the shed with chicks at the mo.

The nest is on a shelf facing the door and they’re not remotely bothered when you go in and out.

Unfortunately it’s too dark in there to get a photo of them.
