Not exactly wildlife but does anyone know what this tree is? Maybe one for @Joey66? Saw it and three others on opposite side of path while out with my dog earlier. Photo doesn’t do it justice, vibrant coloured flowers.

Leaves look Maple-ish...not Canadian though, but what do I know.

Hard to say need a close up of that flower lovely tree though.

I'll try and get a close up of a flower/flowers on it if I remember next time I go up there

 

[Noisy noise annoys]

My bird bath… I clean its water every day cos ‘Marv’ our wood pigeon craps in it but, there is a constant stream of birds, robins, starlings, blackbirds, sparrows and marv enjoying the cool water in this dry period. If you don’t have one.. do it.

Resembles a Crape Myrtle but they really don't have large, singular trunks like that.

I put up a pic few weeks back of the Moorhen with her 12 babies, seen her today, looks like she still got 10 so has lost 2.
