Why you hate NUFC?

Wouldn't go as far as saying I hate you. The couple of Mags fans I know are pretty sound and realistic about their club. My old fella lives in North Shields and used to live in Gateshead. I like your City.

You do seem to have more than your share of of "zany" bellends in your support who don't wear shirts and come out with crap like "ah luv Neecassle moar than me wife, me", though, but that might just be due Sky giving them air time.

Having Pardew as a manager doesn't help, he's spoken in a derogatory manner about our club on several occasions, even predating his time as your manager.

And what Pabbers said, as well. Oh, and I don't like being stuck up in the Gods as far away from the pitch as possible as an away fan. Pisses me off every time I go to St. James' Park.

But really, don't take Chico's match previews to heart. Every team gets it with both barrels, and it's mostly just taking the piss, like.

He should be glad I didn't trawl Google Images.

Thought Chico's write up was class, something I think our message board could do with to be honest. I'm talking about some of the responses in there, definite venom towards us

Haven't been made to feel unwelcome, just curious about the reason behind the one-sided enmity.

Oh and for what it's worth, I don't think the majority of NUFC fans think we're bigger than Everton, just comparable. Same as Spurs to be honest, we're all in that 2nd group of English clubs. Well behind the Man U's but well ahead of the Stokes and Fulhams of the world.

Could you please provide the appropriate evidence to support this outrageous claim ?

No trophies in recent memory DOES NOT COUNT, and neither do 2nd Div Championships or crowd sizes.

For me the claim is unsubstantiated as if you were given the option of taking either of the clubs records then a hell of a lot more of you lot would pick ours than vice versa.
For us a Relegation would be a catastrophic event that only a handful of fans can ever remember happening, for you lads it's a possibility at the start of 50% of seasons, the other 50% of the time you are hoping for promotion.

FIRE IN THE HOLE
BOOM

I hate the fans. Their logic behind them being a big club is ridiculous. 'We're bigger because our stadium is massive and we nearly fill it'. Okay, one, yes your stadium is big, doesnt make you a big club. Two, you almost fill it because you are a one club city. Doubt people outside Newcastle, support Newcastle.
Ive also seen someone mention the time of the last trophy, that fan then brought up the fact you won the Championship, winning the Championship doesnt count ffs.

Sure, w w w.fptp.co. uk/qcsindex/introducing-the-quantifiable-club-size-index-qcsindex/#.UFcci3nhccr

there you go.

But the point I was making is that we don't care. It's not a debate that is interesting and it's not a debate there's a conclusive answer to. It's like two curs squabbling over the leftovers.

I reckon that's pretty conclusive.

I mean, I could understand it if there was a points bonus for being "a bigger club", but there's not. There's just endless arguments which have no resolution what so ever.

These trophies count, these ones don't
stadium size counts, no it doesn't
global fan base counts, does it ****
Only Trophies within this period AND FOR GOD HELP YOU IF YOU INCLUDE OTHERS!

Jesus titty ****ing Christ, that sounds like purgatory, but if you want to, you crack on. I suppose it does answer the question, the real enmity for the majority is all about who is the bigger club.

Cheers

topblue "Dont hate newcastle persay, just pardew is a tit and it rubs off on your club."

I understand that to be honest, not many fans liked him to begin with and a large number still think he's a bit of a smarmy [Poor language removed], but he's like Barton, Bellamy or Savage.

Fans of clubs across the country hate them, but when they're playing for you, they're ****ing ace. Pardew's the managerial equivalent; It's class to see him wind up O'Neill or whomever, but objectively it's a c*nts trick

So 2 points extra for having a better history ? but then far less points for ground size and also crowd, which tbh if you sell out then you sell out, you can't get more in than you can fit, away following would be more appropriate (or just as feckin relevant) and for this purpose we shall use the visit to the Stadium of Light, where despite your local proximity we took almost 4 times the support that you did last season. What was that ? we got more tickets ? well you get more tickets for home games don't you and are quite happy to tout that as 'bigness.'

Lets face it, the biggest thing about you lot is the 'bords' that follow you around.

Been reading your match thread and it's pretty clear the overwhelming feeling towards Newcastle and Geordies is a pretty angry kind of hatred. Just curious for the reason.

I mean, we've not recently injured one of yours, we've not robbed you of owt, we're not local rivals, we're not nicking any of your players. Yet I've genuinely not seen a group of fans more fervent in their desperation to beat us since the mackems.

You also seem stuck on pretty lazy cliches about Newcastle fans. Just like you're not all "bitter blues", we're not "deluded mags". Just seems a bit odd, is all.

So I was wondering what actual reasons have you got, or is it just that when you take everything into account, we're of a similar size to you and therefore, a rival?

Cheers

I quite like the geordies. Boss girls as well, remind me of scousers. Just nicer teeth.

Why not mate?

But really, I don't hate them - as others pointed out - Pardew's a tit, that is all. At one time I really liked them for no reason, even have a kit of yours from a few years back.

I think that you will find that we have opted out of that trifecta in the not too distant past, this is a club that resides in the Moral High Ground.

An easy yes or no, would you change the last 2 footballing decades for 2 that divn't have relegation in them ?

How many rels in your lifetime btw ?

Same, in that naive time where I didn't realise Alan Shearer was devoid of personality.
