Why we need to be supportive against City

I'm going to sit there with my bovril and glare at anyone who even thinks about trying to demonstrate some passion for the team.

Oh, and remember, if we are winning they've got Aguero to come off the bench.

i wish i could be there....but i hope we behind them from the beginning. i think we all forget how many levels the fans can raise the team!

probably one of the biggest pluses from the fa cup game was the chasing and pressuring from the team it nearly led to two or so goals, we cant sit back and wait for a cock up

Messi is bigger than Enrique at Barca, fact. He won't survive if he doesn't keep Messi happy.

You really think Barca fans should not voice their concern at the possibility of losing the best player in the world ?

Sheep indeed.
And Barca are bigger than both of them. So if Barca decide that Enrique is to manage the team then Messi does as he's told , END OFF

Clever man, Martinez. Played a couple of hoof balls against West Ham to get the doubters back on side. Well, if that's what they wanna see...
Nothing wrong with a couple of HOOF BALLS now and again its all part of the game. Variety is the spice of life apparently

Need an early goal against City to get the boo boys onside.

Also, this s***e of "I'll support the team if...." is absolutely atrocious. This is the type of stuff that had Roy Keane giving out about United's home supporters as opposed to the away supporters.

For me, it is BY FAR the most disappointing thing about this season, not the performances, not the results but how the fans have responded to hardship. Really thought we were better than that as a club.

*prepares to be lambasted*

I think the most disappointing thing is on the pitch, but coming away from the Hull game the booing of other supporters made me feel far far worse.

Totally agree with this
Im over in morning for this game. Hoping for an early 50/50 won to lift the crowd followed by good positive performance. I think if we can lift our game again we can turn thing around. Not too worried about Augero, will take him 3/4 weks to get up to speed so hopefully Stones can keep him quiet when he comes on.

that doesnt really answer anything though Edward. these kind of posts are silly.

I'm sure you do have something to say but went with the not very humorous put down. because you dont like a couple of words I used.

It was another way of saying that fans have the right to criticize a manager without being labelled as sheep.

And also that the term 'real fans' is pejorative. We're all real fans ffs.

If we lose to City and West Brom, you can call the "boo boys" whatever you want, the fact will remain we'll be in deep shoite and with a real prospect of relegation with a tough run of games coming up.

"If".

And if you think fans are supposed to cheer raucously after 21 points in 20 games, you actually want fans to turn off the brain and be sheep. Because you want them to suppress any thought that that return may, just may, not be good enough.

In short, stupid thread. Nobody actively wants Everton to lose here; but simultaneously we're not going to happy clap a bunch of slow tempo nonsense whilst sides rip us to shreds with ease.

I totally agree with what your saying and I felt the same until the West Ham game. I felt in that game the players displayed fight and Martinez showed flexibility. Two things that had been missing and if the same is displayed against City then surely the players deserve support. Of course I understand the previous four games was utter garbage and displays not fit of representing our shirt, Its the most embarrassed I've been as an Everton fan for over a decade, however signs were there against West Ham of Martinez showing adaptability which has prompted me to try to be more positive. Negativity breeds negativity, its something we can seriously do without tomorrow in a very important game.

I haven't heard Alley Alley O for ages. I know you only sing it when we score or are on top, but it might help if you sing
it anyway.

And regarding criticism of hoofing, sometimes it's the best option.
