Why we need to be supportive against City

Big game this, will be hard enough for the players as it is without the fans on there backs, we need to be vocally %100 behind them on this one, and no walking out with 15 minutes to go. There is going to be misplaced passes, and at times the players will lose the ball too easily, but we have to accept that right now, deal with it and stay positive :)

Depends on the attitude of the players. I'll support if there's something to support. If they show up and start tapping it about instead of looking to go out and win (which we should) then no.

At least you won't be depressed when we play badly being a fair-weather fan.

People booing at any old backpass, because the mob has decided everything that is wrong is down to them there tactics and that catalan making them fool around at the back, are just sheep for me and don't understand the concept of supporting the team. Some people like to be heard and love having a crowd in which to act the fool. Even better if the media are talking about it that day.

Went to Camp Nou tonight and the small section of "hardcore" fans would, as they normally do even when he was here as visiting manager, start singing Luis Enrique....to which other parts of the crowd responded with whistling and booing. Then the hecklers would start a chant of Messi. Basically I would wager that very few of this vocal mob had their own opinion on the issues in the club that went past the stories of conflict they have read in the, ever reliable and truthful, media. Sheep.

Messi is bigger than Enrique at Barca, fact. He won't survive if he doesn't keep Messi happy.

You really think Barca fans should not voice their concern at the possibility of losing the best player in the world ?

Sheep indeed.

They were not voicing any concern. The average chat in the bars and the office is just repeating the stories in the press. Barca is a strange club because they have a lot of fans who are fans only of Barca, because they see it as part of what you do if you are from there or live there, but they arent particularly fans of football in general. Their insight will rarely go beyond whats appearing in the back pages.

I can obviously only speak for my own experience, but the fans who are actual football fans would not see it as clear as Messi is bigger than Enrique and we have to boo a club legend because there are "rumours" in the press that Messi might go. Luis Enrique is a bonafide club legend also and the fact the loudest and most ardent group of fans still sing his name AND sing Messis name would indicate where the real supporters sentiments lie.

I don't know anybody who would consider booing Enrique even if they have some criticisms. If there is a protest at the next game, it will be out with the white hankies for the president and directors who have dragged the club down in the last few years.

Anyway....thats kinda off over there besides the point. I just read the thread and it had similarities with what I witnessed tonight.

That's not what people have been moaning about, though.

People accept those things will happen but of course there will be a collective groan goes up when a promising attack breaks down because of a misplaced pass but that is just natural human reaction which quickly evaporates as the next play develops.

The moaning and the boos have been because of backward passing and slow, aimless build up........we don't need to rehearse that debate again right now.

There will be none of that on Saturday as the chips are down now, we hope the Hammers game showed a change in attitude and I think we are in for a barnstorming performance with the crowd well up for it and I think we will take at least a point.

I don't know why we are all writing our chances off so readily.

They have conceeded two goal leads to Burnley and Sunderland in their last two home games.

We were evenly matched a month ago at their place and they needed the ref to gift them the three points.

;)
