Why we dont 'need' investment

we are doing well without investment for the level we are at 6-8th in the league and the odd cup run. To be consistently having a crack at the top 4 we need investment...not even huge amounts to buy expensive players, but enough to mean we dont have to sell to buy

It's just bollocks. We haven't won anything since 1995, we haven't finished higher than 4th since the 80s, we've sold off our training ground, we're in an outdated stadium, we're losing money hand over fist and riddled with debt and we have to sell players every year to balance the books.

Who the hell looks at that as a satisfactory situation to be in? We're everton ffs, anything below third in the table or a trophy is a dismal failure. Not something to be lauded and held up as the best of all possible worlds.

We don't need a takeover just the odd 15 mill per window for transfers we have good foundations with the manager and the board doesn't do silly things like our neighboors even thought they don't seem to raise funds . 30 million for 2 seasons should get us champions league and then we would be getting some money from that

The following clubs have had investment and in the past we have been envious of them and wished to have what they have.

Aston Villa
Portsmouth
Birmingham
Liverpool

These clubs have actually gained nothing since their investment and in some cases have crashed and burned. Do we really want some random American to take us over akin to Aston Villa. Their fans on the forums are saying this should be their first XI

How poor is that team, i almost feel sorry for them that fans similar to us who were in a similar position to us are coming up with such a load of garbage, that team could be going down. If we had taken some random investment back when Villa did then this could have been us. There is only 2 clubs with the type of investment with any kind of positive result and that is City and Chelsea. I still feel that both these clubs will struggle when their owners leave.

It prompts the question, do we really need investment? Good management financially coupled with the pending financial fair play rules could work in our favour without having to get anyone in. If we keep producing through the youth team then we simply cant go wrong with our current policy, the chances of getting bad investment is a lot higher than getting good investment so no investment at all could be the best answer.

Totally agree with every word you have put! All I would say is we need atleast 10m for Moyes to play around with every summer and do what he does best, apart from that I'm happy with how our club is even if others can't see the bigger picture

Our neighbours board is vastly superior to ours because they raise much more money in income and so give more money to their managers to spend. And that's the main thing a board should be judged on.

Fortunately their managers are **** at spending it but that's another thing entirely.

Well where is Moyes going to get that ten million with the current board in charge? We've sold off pretty much every saleable assest we had and we're crap at marketing the club and making money through merchandise and sponsorship deals.

Other clubs like Pompey and Villa got that investment and tried to get up there and look at them now, actually look at the ****e before anyone else! They've got **** loads of money and spent **** loads yet this season they'll be happy with top 6 and they'd take a draw against city tomorrow, I've never known them like this as I'm only young and it's great seeing them **** up and us excel on little funds once again
