yanno what, ive been listening to Jesse Leach's new stuff lately coz i bum him, and the latest single that his current side project have released fits us as Evertonians pretty well, its almost as if it was written for us. esp if you change babylon to liverpool!!! :

As we live in these dark days filled with violence,
opposition and hate.
There lies a place of saving grace
Protected in the hearts of the humble
The faithful, the ones who choose the path of
resistance to protest
Protect, save, proclaim our lives lived not in vain.
In flesh, in spirit eternal
One love, One truth, One destiny

One love! (one love) one truth! (one truth) one destiny

Arise and be triumphant
No rest until all is fulfilled
Our roots must balance our branches
Be vigilant in truth and love
(in truth and love)

There is a strength in numbers we must unite mankind
There is a strength in numbers, our faith lies deep
inside
(We!) We struggle, (We) we suffer, (So) so we must come
together
(We!) We struggle, (We) we suffer, (but) but we will
live forever

Babylon's method of deception
So devious the strong are swayed
(so devious, the strong are swayed)

There is a strength in numbers we must unite mankind
There is a strength in numbers, our faith lies deep
inside
(We!) We struggle, (We!) we suffer, (So!) so we must
come together
(We!) We struggle, (We!) we suffer, (but!) but we will
live forever

(One love, one truth)
(One love, one truth)

One love! (one love) one truth! (one truth) one destiny

There is a strength in numbers we must unite mankind
There is a strength in numbers, our faith lies deep
inside
(We!) We struggle, (We!) we suffer, (So!) so we must
come together
(We!) We struggle, (We!) we suffer, (but!) but we will
live forever

May the sun shine upon you and bless your inner light
and may you find true peace

Blaming Moyes for yesterday’s fiasco is idiotic. Yah Maybe Beckford could have started but he scores when he comes off the bench, yet even he can’t score if you can’t string 2 passes together to get him the ball. It’s not Moyes’s fault we have no money, and face it what motivation tool does he have. It’s not like anyone has to play for a spot on this team. You show up with two legs and you’re in. There is little squad competition for places, as everyone else is out on loan or sold off to meet debt requirements.
The team selection that was out there on Sunday should have gotten the job done. You put the same squad out there against one of the so called bigger clubs and the results would have been different, because they would be playing for spots on that club in the summer. Face it the players know there is no money and little future the way the board is now. If there is no change there, then there will be little change on the pitch

If you give credit to Moyes for getting us into the CL a few seasons ago then why can't you criticise for the current playing debacle.

If Moyes accepts the praise for one then he must shoulder the culpability for the way the team is now.

this is a point i have been making for awhile

I have got to hand it to you - your blind thrust in Moyes is unique.

obviously the players did not perform yesterday, but again the tactics (Arteta playing behind Fellaini), gameplan(hoofball to Anichebe who is up against strong big, but slow defenders), selection of the players (ie. the non-scoring forward Anichebe), substitutions (taking off our wide players for non-performer Osman and putting Anichebe on the wing).

Credit when credit is due/Critique when critique is due.

There's something unseemly about that image...

Your right, if he can take credit when its due then he can certainly take criticism aswell. And back to that champions league qualifying season, the whole squad was of lesser quality of the one we have now but that team to me defended better, played better football, worked harder, fought for each other and more impotantly, played with pride and passion for the Everton shirt!.

We have got to get back to all of that and especially having pride and passion for wearing the jersey, and the least the players should give if were not playing well is giving 110% effort and working hard for the team and each other cos that was seriously lacking at the weekend.

I do think that in the summer Moyesy needs to re-think his ways on how he sets the team up and the tactics he uses and start using players in there proper positions and playing to there strengths cos atm we look stale, slow and un-imaginative in a 4-5-1 and were playing too much hoof ball instead of playing through the likes of Arteta, Felli, Coleman and Bily and then gettng are FB's more involved higher up the pitch and then creating more chances for our strikers to put away.

Hopefully this season is just a one off, shockingly bad season and Moyesy can see that we do still have a good squad and with a bit of wheeling and dealing in the summer, he can bring in the right quailty of players that he thinks we need and then give it another go next season. It would help if the board would just back him but i cant see it and i do think that could push Moyes out of the door so in the summer we might need to start a fresh with a new manager anyway like alot of others are hoping for but i'd like to see Moyes give it another go to see if he can change and change our fortunes.

But if he was to walk, out of the managers some have mentioned i think that if Norwich dont come up this season, we could have a chance of getting Lambert and i wouldnt be against that cos he'd be my choice, i dont think he'd be able to resist a premier league club (if we can keep our status?!) and he does play a good brand of football and plays a 4-4-2 diamond formation and goes for it in every game and doesnt even like settling for draws and Norwich have a knack of scoring late on in the dieing minutes of games to knick wins, or at the least draws (reminds me of a premier league team of the past does that).

I dont think Jol would come to a club in a financial position like ours, he'd want some money to be able to do a little of his own thing at us and although i wouldnt mind him either as he would bring a better brand of football to the team, i think our finances would put that one to bed but the lure of the premier league would be too much to turn down for someone like Lambert.
