Why no statement from the Club

Everton Football Club would like to make a statement regarding two members of the playing staff.

As you know we have been involved in protracted contract talks with both Barkley and Lukaku, these have been challenging but we are pleased to announce that they're both a bunch of beeps. Never have we had the pleasure of dealing with such petulant and ungrateful beeps, we offered double the amount they are being paid at the moment and yet no, that's not beeping good enough for the beeping beephouse beeps.

We have transfer listed the beeps and look forward with great glee to seeing their beeping careers go down the beeping toilet.

That the sort of thing you were looking for?

You missed the best bit.

"Now that we have told the world what such utter tools they are, we are probably gonna have to sell both at a combined 40m below market value, but at least YA DAR will get a good nights sleep."

There must be something in the Lukaku thing, if we know then we should be open with the fans, if he has negotiated a deal without club knowledge then he should be dealt with?

Dealt with? How exactly?

Just about every transfer now involves the players representatives talking to prospective buyers before a transfer is actually agreed. There's no point hammering out a complicated multi-million pound deal with a club without first sounding out the player's reps to gauge interest in a move or possible demands.

Crying foul over tapping up is naive. It has always gone on and always will as it suits every single club. Or are we to believe that without these underhand approaches that Rom would have absolutely no idea that there may be a CL team or two interested in his services? I've been for job interviews while employed by someone else - why not footballers?

As for announcements....let's leave them till there's something to actually announce. A lot of stuff goes on and sometimes goes somewhere, sometimes goes nowhere. What's the point in constantly updating on things that could very possibly change?

FFS - I bet there's people on this board who actually watch SSN and listen to TalkSport in the mistaken belief that either broadcasting bellfest offers an iota of worthwhile information or coverage.

Please Everton, say SOMETHING! Im just so needy and need my sheets and blankets changed.
