why i haven't been able to watch everton recently

i've been pretty horribly distracted by the media, i doubt anyone overseas has heard, but maybe some of you yanks have heard about this story,

i'm Dave Kori, the 17 year old who called the school official at home, and got an angry reply from his wife, here's the washington post article on me:

i'm not trying to brag or anything, jus thought if some of you had heard the story (i was on cnn and a couple other sites too, some news shows even had an old yearbook pic of me in my australia kit up there) you might be interested in knowing you've chatted with me online :)

note i'm tryin to let this story die down, so i'm done talking to the media, but i figure the close group of supporters of the best football team in the world are trustworthy to share this story with. any thoughts?

Interesting. I have to say, I am in two minds about your situation. On one hand I can deffo see why you want to know if you have to go in, and if the guy isn't available at work a phone call to the publicly listed house is perfectly acceptable and his wife should merely replied that he wasn't home and for you to have a good day. Obviously you caught her at a bad time.

On the other hand. 3 inches!! Gimme a break! Wanting to get out of school for 3 inches! That is lame, and I bet you know it too :P

(This coming from a guy who is calling to shut the Basic Enlisted Submarine School house down when we have light flurries)

haha real quick to clear up, we were already at school and it was only about getting out early, plus my last class is easy so i didn't care about myself too much it just pissed me off that they made a decision like that, so i wanted to know why.
 
Our school couldn't afford school buses so we had public busing and therefore we were the only school district in the city to be open when it snowed. *sigh*

You live in Fairfax? I sometimes drive to Fado's in Chinatown (DC) to watch everton.

Anyway if the media is bugging you at least have some fun with it. Put as many Everton references as you can into every one of your quotes to the press and see how many stick. For example say something like: "I was only doing something that my hero David Moyes would do." and see if it gets in the papers.

And don't fight a suspension. Its just a nice long vacation and you'll get to catch up with football. I wish I would have gotten suspended for a long time is school.

i wasn't suspended, i got saturday school sometime next month... so i'll probably miss yet another match :( my saturday school is for using my cellphone to make the call, as though every kid in that whole school doesn't keep their cellphone on every day. while i'm in saturday school, anyone wanna text me score updates :)
 

i was on bbc news 24, world service and the internet simultaneously last year on a live broadcast about north korea. didn't make the papers though :(
i'm jealous!
 
lol! nice one Toffeestillidie. I've just checked out the youtube video, man that was totally uncalled for if all you did was ask for some information.
 
"snow day". Give over. You'd be laughed off the phone if you called a local police station to ask if you could stay off school in the UK.

Here 3 inches of snow would bring the area to a standstill :lol:, schools would definitely be off.

My opinion on the story, the woman is a whopper who was most likely on.

Just make sure that when the news crews come over for an interview that your wearing your latest Everton shirt that says Chang on it.

...and not an older shirt that says Chang BEER or I'm sure they'll get REALLY upset. :dodgy:
