I dont know if anyone ever played diablo2, but I think it somehow relates to that. In diablo2, Marius held the soulstone of Baal and it was a great burden and made him age. Maybe because Gerrard has the burden of being a redshite he ages at double the speed. This is the only logical explanation

I've still got it somewhere great game... nothing has even come close to matching it since. that Cow field rocks

But yeah Gerrard seriously does look into his forties in that picture.
