WHY DO WE FEEL LOUSY WHEN WE DON'T GET A RESULT?

Good point Joey why are we not heading away, Distin is big enough. A problem which will come back and bite us quite a bit.
Have you seen Distan attempts at jumping to win a header - he has no timing - he was beaten most times yesterday - maybe RM has to realise some games he needs to play Duffy who is commanding in the air and has physical presence - not has fast on the deck as Distan , but we did not need that yesterday - Duffy for me played 5 games under DM was MOTM in 3 and was dropped???

Because those players might be capable of playing 10-15 minutes but not 45 or 90. And because Martinez would rather have them on the bench than kids. And because our squad isn't big enough and we have to put not fully fit players on the bench to have 7 subs.
So why not use them more proactively, if only for the last 20 minutes when we'd totally lost momentum?

This I do agree with. I said to my mate that with 20 minutes to go, Martinez should have brought Mirallas on for Lukaku. I was surprised he never brought Osman on at all.

I think he probably thought at 2-1, we'd see the game out and that there was no point in upsetting the balance.

He said himself after the game he was disappointed we didn't see it out.

Know exactly what you mean. It's frustrating because the realistic fans knew it was going to be a tough game, but Leicester didn't really do much to make it tough. If we're being fair, we have to admit they had the best chance of the game with the lad who smashed it over, but other than that, we completely dominated the game. I can see the Leicester fan's point because we caused them no threat in front of goal in the second half, but we looked very comfortable for large periods.

It's the way we concede the goals that frustrates me most though. It's down to poor defending but also a bit of bad luck. You could argue that our first was a bit lucky but ours came from a magnificent finish. Their first came from a pathetic clearance from Distin and their second was a typical, average shot that would have caused Howard no problem, but hit Jags and from the resulting tackle bounced straight to their lad.

These things do go for you at other stages in the season though but because they have gone for us, we don't reflect on how lucky we were. Imagine being a Cardiff fan when Coleman sliced that winner in the last minute at Goodison last season.

Then should he be carrying the can not the players?

Joey I have thought a while back like last season Duffy should have been given a look in and feel that is the case now but how about alongside Stones.

For me it's barkleys injury, I wouldn't feel half as gutted about the Leicester result had barkley been fit feels like we have an uphill battle without one of our best players + extra matches with europa. Added to that no back up striker in and probably won't replacement for ross the good feel factor for this season has gone for me sadly.

I think we have had a double whammy this past couple days which has seen an early season gloom descending on us.

First we had the news about Ross and then we chuck two points away.

Plus the next two games are against top opposition and I felt we needed the win yesterday more than if we had, say, Burnley and QPR up next.

A future partnership in the making imo Duffy as the conventional traditional centre half = physical ball winner in the air, dominant, and Stones as the classy quick defender to mop up like the Mountfield/ Radcliffe partnership or the Labone / Hurst partnership - RM has to try them out in the future gradually as Distan and Jags are an aging duo with a wee bit left in them as yet, but both are hopeless in the air !

Not only do we NEVER score from corners, we can't defend them either. In cases an opponent is always first to the ball, very depressing - it's not a new problem, either. I am surprised that a top coach like Roberto hasn't sorted it out by now. We look like conceding at every corner. Also baffling is the way we always struggle to deal with hoofball...
Martinez has said before that he doesnt practice corners hasnt he? Its not a focus of his or a priority, due to low conversion rate from a corner.

Pretty sure he did
