Why do people want Duncan Ferguson to replace Silva?

Why not? If Skolschar can do it at Utd...

Maybe a short-term contract and hope for a short-term bounce because that performance yesterday
was relegation fodder. Duncan will bring emotion and clear talking to the dressing-room and maybe
that is what is lacking.

But I reckon that Moshiri will give Silva more time. To pay Silva off and the rest of his staff will be 20 million plus,
to fire a new coach after just eight months looks like Moshiri lacks the balls to support a bloke he selected when he's
going through a bad patch, and Silva and Brands knows the club needs stability.

Big Dunc for manager?

Shoot me down lads here but Ferguson in my opinion should have been given a chance when Moyes left.

That's where the continuity would have/might have worked. He'd have had Jags,Cahill,Hibbert,Osman,Baines,Howard and a few others who knew of his legacy and I'm certain they all respected him as both a man and a player.
Also the team we had at that point although not world beaters did fight and grind out some decent results, they could never be classed as spineless as the class of 2019 are. I think it would have worked out and new players coming in would have also adopted the true blue mentality.

However sadly now the horse has bolted the stable, no way can he take the helm, just far too late in the day.
The chance has gone, what do these mercenary losers know or care about big Dunc and his place in the blue's hall of fame.
They don't give a toss about the shirt on the pitch so I'm sure they'd not rally behind Dunc to revive any blue spirit.

They only know Dunc now as the bloke who sits on the bench next to Marco looking subservient and lost.

Imagine him trying to get Richarlison to put in a shift for instance, Richarlison thinks he's a footballing god already, he see's himself as different to what the fans see him, he must never watch MOTD or he'd be mortified at his displays, but as we know pride is what is lacking in this team.

So we are stuffed. The only way out I can see is shifting this expensive dead wood we've squandered millions on, and whilst this team performs like this week in week out their stock value is shedding millions all the time. The board must see that.

What I'd do if it was my cash being sapped by these under performers is this.......

Sack Silva today, then don't just go and dive in for a headline making and costly 5 year deal for some other dead beat "name"

Get Moyes in on a cheapo pay as you go deal which is open ended and no ties, I reckon he'd jump at it.

Then hope for the "New Manager Bounce" to kick in. A few wins, a few decent performances then the stock value may go up a bit, a few decent games from Siggy, Rich, and Tosun may just make them saleable.

In the meantime start hunting for our next "forever manager".

Then have the cull, if such a thing as this lot did buck up and Richarlison became a diamond, Sigs proved his worth and Gomez got premier league player of the year lol then still sell them.........as they've proved now when the chips are down they have no fight, no stomach for it and hide, get rid, they are poison to this club.

As for the next long term manager I've no idea but we need to act now, surely anyone can see this.

And Breath
lol

I’ve not seen anyone who does suggest that.
This seems to be the only Everton place i've seen where people DON'T want him as manager. Oh, hang on.

Solskjaer has managerial experience at Molde and Cardiff, Duncan doesn't, and I thought part of United's resurgence is because SAF has been turning up at training.

Why can't Duncan bring emotion and clear talking to the team as it is? He's a coach, he works with them.

at times like these, it makes me realise that I really do come from a different generation.

So many people seem to see Ferguson as this mini-SAF who'll scream and shout and throw things and then it'll magically make all the players into winners.

Moyes won't come back IMO.

We’ve tried experienced managers, we’ve tried failed managers, we tried foreign managers. All with same outcome. Why not revert to a policy of our most ‘successful’ appointment in Moyes and recruit a young manager learning his craft with the drive and appeal to take the club forward. We could do worse then frank lampard
Only if he was a player manager, got to be better than anything we have even now.

He must be good at making friends with managers then, since Koeman, Bob and Fat Sam all had him as well.
He only needs one friend and in Kenwright he has it. BPB thinks the sunshines out his backside, allegedly gave him a job when he went bankrupt.
I wouldn't put it past BPB to want Rooney as Duncs assistant too
