Kaveh Solhekol says AJ Bell and George Downing, who are backed by the Dell family, have lodged a bid to buy Everton and want to do a deal as quickly as possible.

I think thats because there's nothing in it.
One of the banks interested in financing a deal also handles a lot of Michael Dell's wealth.
Other than that giving the bank a lot of leverage, it has very little to do with any purchase of Everton.
Bit confusing for Southampton fans when they’re visiting The Dell season after next.

The question is... who is trying to buy the club to fleece as much out of it for their investment, compared to those who strategically want it to be a functioning business (that will likely require small returns for their investment in the short term)?
