The Esk didn't claim that Ferguson wasn't travelling down or getting an interview. He said he'd heard the decision was made and the process looked like a diversion.

More and more today looks like a first team staff gathering event - meetings rather than interviews.

Cahill apparently there too.

Unless Dunc has maybe been touted for a job at a more senior level rather than the manager, in which case what you say could make sense.

No chance Ferguson is getting that senior position. He can barely speak English.

I love the guy as an Everton icon, but he's the same coach who said repeatedly "I like my 4-4-2" which caught Chelsea on the back foot in one match and has had increasingly diminished returns since.

There's no indication of nuanced tactics that can really pull a team out the mire. We'd be relying on passion and simplistic organisation alone to maintain our premier league status.

I'm desperately hoping he's just being summoned to explain the new infrastructure he'll be working in moving forward.

This is an absolute farce. All on Moshiri this.
Messing around second interviewing Pereira and Big Dunc when you have Lampard ready and waiting.

Transfer window closes in a couple of days. If they had have had Lampard sown up this week, I'm sure with his connections at Chelsea he would have been able to get Loftus-Cheek and Barkley in on loan virtually overnight.

Those two in the midfield for the next 6 months, we 100% stay up.
