Who's looking forward to the new season and what do you expect?

There are a lot of moaning buggers on here but football is just about back and I can't wait. I am predicting close to 60 points and a top half finish.

If the PL is so ropey then why did Sean Dyche nearly relegate us twice?

We'll have a slow start to the season as Moyes works the players back up to speed again. Then we'll recruit 1 or 2 in January if our loans haven't been maxed out before then. Kick on in February to a comfortable 11th/12th.

Next summer the recruitment team will have been together nearly a year and we should see a much better Transfer Window because of it.

I think we'll make a cup final this season, don't think we'll win it though. In terms of league I'm gonna say we'll make a solid enough start and a top 8 finish. Decent progress given the upheaval in recent times, that's all I want.

hopefully: Consecutive wins. A striker who scores, wingers who get entire stands off their seats.

Realistically: Moyes moving upstairs after 4 consecutive defeats and Coleman taking over.

Well i am going to be positive. I can't wait and i think we are going to do okay. Already got some decent new players in and a few more to come before the window closes. Thinking about what Moyes did with what he had last season and what he will have this season, i think we will break into the top 10 and possibly even fighting for latter European places if we get a few more players in.

I've enjoyed the break, it was gut wrenching waving goodbye to Goodison, so nice 'Everton free' time off was very much appreciated.

The transfers (all of em), the money, the moaning, the lies, on one hand the off season has been quite painful, the alternative is back to league action, which has been rather painful for quite a lot of consecutive seasons. Damned either way.

London 1908, 1948, 2012, Paris 1900, 1928, 2024 will be joined as three times holders of the Olympics by Los Angeles (1932, 1984) in 2028.

In terms of expectation this season, top half, Fortress Moore Dock, and maybe a gem comes through the academy. Going to a scab six away and bloodying their nose would also be very welcome.
