Its catch 22 really but its not like our youth play much unless we have a mega injury crisis so its better for them to go on loan.

If it was Barkley and only until January or sooner it'd be good for him. He'd be starting every week and would do his learning and make his mistakes/develop for a different team without us having to worry about his concentration etc. Then I guess we could throw him in properly in the second half of the season if all goes well. Which it will if he's ready. It would be perfect if we had a bigger squad, like.
That said, I'm still torn on him. Moyes pissed me off a bit all last season by not playing him but recently it's become apparent that he's not really ready yet, concentration/work-rate wise. I haven't watched him enough to judge 100%. Still, it's another period with Ross not in the team and 12 months ago we all thought he'd be a perm fixture by now. Frustrating.
Hope it's Vellios, like. Ditto for him, really.

I'll cry so much if it's Victor.
I have really high hopes for the lad and from the Main stand against athens i thought he held the middle in a defensive role and distributed the ball well, 'However' he had another 'Blackburn' moment and gave the ball away needlessly in a dangerous area and slid in a pretty ruthless challenge to try and make up for it that was pretty immature.

Alan Nixon said Sheff Wed will make a massive coup on loan, and then went on to say the player would be a top young english player.
Hence, Changy & John Merro, both coming to the conclusion that Barkley is the possibility.
I know people rate Barkley, but not sure i'd call it a "big coup" if they got him on loan???
