only Neville and Heitinga are on the kind of wages that it would be useful to lose and we would almost certainly get better in for minimum cost, other than that what is the point when we need a bigger squad and we have seen from other teams how 30 to 40 million can just be wasted

But we need squad players more importantly.

Defense is pretty much covered in every position except for a long term replacement for Distin, Stones is RF so he won't replace him. Heitinga will probably look at his current situation and will see out the remainder of his contract, so sell him in the summer.

A partner for Gibson in CM, if Fellaini stays he's useful in that area but it's up for debate whether he's more useful there or further up. Fer would of been perfect. Gueye should be sold, not good enough for us, but if there is some improvement then loan him again next season. Naismith has his uses as a sub, not his biggest fan but still has something to offer I think.

A goal scorer is also what we need desperately, Anichebe offers us something different as a player who holds up play, could play slightly behind whoever it is. Jelavic, I'm on the fence with him, not sure whether he'll find some form to keep Anichebe out.

Hopefully, I would like to see more of Oviedo, Barkley, Duffy and maybe Stones. Barkley could be our solution to Fellaini leaving but we cry out for a box to box midfielder.

We should look to a new goalkeeper next year.
