Ironically it’s the stuff you’re annoyed/bored of hearing about that keeps them up, because they ARE well run and their scouting IS very good

Yeh, there is the bitter irony.

I guess there are two points, neither or which I have answers to (or strong opinions about, tbh):

1. Is staying in the top division the touchstone of success for them and is that coloured by their historic positions? Brighton finished 6th once, Brentford never higher than 10th for e.g.

2. How sustainable is the model and what would need to go wrong to break it? How much is down to luck?

As i say, more passing interest than any opinion on it. Apart from being bored of hearing about what a great model they have, I've no strong like or dislike for any of them (nor could I envisage how anyone might).

While all three have done very well in recent years, this is essentially the high water mark in their respective histories. And when your club model is based on selling your best all the time, all it takes is one bad window or a bad managerial appointment and they will be dragged into a dogfight. Within the next 5 years I can see one of them getting relegated.

Wolves a good away on the train
Burnley an hour away

Brentford crap allocation. Stay.

West Ham, 4 good years in their lifetime and they act as if theyre prime Brazil. Down.

Leeds. Media W fest over them, but were getting 16000 in champ at one stage. Spent more time outside the top flight than in it over the last 70 years. Theyre a myth. Gone

Marginalised. Nuke them to the Southern League.

Forest for singing songs about us last season, and for always making complaints about anything
Probably Burnley, part of the same reason, and maybe Leeds

If Dyche/Forest really happens, I'd be a very happy man..

Would Stone - Woan follow Dyche and potentially ruin any former love from the fanbase..

In general I don't want anyone to go down, specifically. I just want Everton to do well, so I always look at results of other teams from a perspective of what is best for Everton.

Having said that, If i had to pick from the 6 there I would say;

Burnley - proper sour grapes team trying to get compensation from us because they got relegated
Leeds - think they are big time, Daniel Farke is a terrible premier league manager
Forrest - sing all these songs about our fans "sign on, sign on" and "feed the scousers" they can get in the bin. Also thought it was poor that they actively canvassed for Palaces place in the Europa League.

However I dont think Forrest will get relegated, even a terrible manager could keep that squad up. I think it will be Burnley, Leeds and Wolves.

But as long as Everton are miles away from the relegation zone come May, I actually dont care who goes down.
