Player Valuation: £40m
I think instead of going with the most experienced players (they should be acting as talkers and motivators on the pitch with an armband or not). I would prefer to give it to one of our more talented kids as a way of saying " we are building for the future and you kid's are a massive part of it"
Ratcliffe got the armband at a very young age after Higgins got injured and never looked back.
Rio captained Leeds and Stevie across the park thrived on the responsibility (they all had experienced players around them also).
My preference would probably be Stones or McCarthy but Bobby will prob go for Barry or T How if Ossie isn't starting

It will be Howard, unfortunately.

Personally I'd give it to McCarthy. Think that would be a move that really brings out some of his best form, again.

Stones and Ross don't need the added responsibility yet.

Edit: Obviously, when Baines is fit, him.

Don't think any of the seniors warrant the honour, meself. Out of the younger players McCarthy's been keech, so not him.

I'd probly go for Stones, but we can guess the shortlist anyway...

Brian Labone was 17 in 1958 on début made captain 1964- I think giving it to Stones would be ok as did you see the glares he gave TH after those two goals - If he was captain He could have a right go at him!

Well Barry and Howard not playing tomorrow, I assume it might go to McCarthy then?

Or Naismith () if he starts?

Christ.
