Who would you buy from potential relegation clubs?

Trossard has 3 goals and 4 assists.

Bernard has 2 goals and 2 assists.

Count 'em up again, Michael.

In any case, both are substandard pish and not good enough for a team competing for European Football in the Premier League.
Interesting Bernard getting left out at the weekend. Does Ancelotti think moving forward he doesn’t offer enough goals & assists and maybe is to lightweight for the league.,

grealish - looks the real deal.
McGinn - id take too. Been their best player in the championship since he joined.
Mings - the best defender in the relegation battle. Good presence

these guys are clearly let down by some below par teammates

norwich
- cantwell - looked great when Iv seen him play

Watford
Del - better then Walcott
Deeney - he would be in as a back up striker now. I think he is underrated and would be an option off the bench to support our two young inexperienced strikers

mings is a yard dog.

And his incorrect opinions on every single other thing in the world.

It's a forum, Mike. A safe space. You can share your opinions freely.

I can hold my hands up and admit I got it wrong with West Ham this season, but then I got it right with Newcastle who many, yourself included, tipped to go down after the 1st few games.

You win some, you lose some.

Perhaps try putting your neck out on a few yourself, anyone can play Captain Hindsight, after all.

Lot's of players in these lists who are CAM's or wide players, which prompts a discussion about where they might fit in with us. The obvious answer is that they kick out the likes of Iwobi and Bernard who just are not good enough at this level. Without making this about Bernard, who seems a nice enough fella and works hard, he's just not a Premier League Footballer, full stop. Said it since he came.

He's capable of the odd fleeting moment of brilliance, a good touch here and a nice pass there. But his off-the-ball movement is non-existent, he doesn't get in the box often enough, doesn't trouble his full-back often enough, he's weak on the ball and there are just not enough reasons to keep him in or around the 1st team, even if you forget the fact he gets next to no assists or goals.

Got slated last season for saying he doesn't make the bench at any top seven side, he's now starting to lose out here under Carlo. Only one way this ends. Get him sold in the summer and move on.

Nar not seeing that, seems to have his head screwed on these days ( was a bit of a tool the last time they was in the prem ) but been consistently excellent recently

He'll deffo leave them soon enough when one of the big clubs go in for him
Agreed he seems to have matured a lot, he was only a teenager when last in the prem iirc

I’m not to bothered about the comparison with Bernard. Every time I’ve seen trossard he’s never impressed me. Seems abit average. Just don’t get the big love in folk on here and other sites show him.

I liked him at Genk, but it's a huge step up to the Premier League that he's in the process of making. I think he'll come good but he isn't there yet. Next season a big one for him.

You haven’t though, you’re still on here trying to make a case for players like Diop, Rice and Haller even though they’ve absolutely stunk the place out all season.

I’ve been wrong about plenty and have admitted it, I was badly wrong about Ronald Koeman for instance, also Calvert-Lewin is proving me wrong this season which is great. I was also right about Pellegrini and West Ham.

You've really got a thing about West Ham, haven't you?

Diop is a quality player in a bad team. Ake is the same. Both have admirers at the top clubs. In fact, both Chelsea and United were willing to pay £40m for Diop in the summer according to credible sources. Ake will 100% leave Bournemouth for a top six club in the summer.

As I said in my post, Haller and Rice are better players than they've showed. I don't think that's a controversial opinion. The likes of Gueye and Wijnaldum have stunk the place out in relegated sides in recent seasons and gone on to do well. I'm not sure if either will step up to play for a top six club but they are better than the bottom half of the Premier League.

United were so willing to drop 40m on him that they went out and spent double that on a better player at the same position?

I’ve got a thing about West Ham because this whole forum has a thing about them. Every single season since 2016 without fail, they get smoke blown up their arse by everyone on here and have everyone flapping that they’re going to surpass us, and it’s all just absolute hot air. You were one of the worst culprits of this in the summer, which is why I keep bringing you up in the West Ham thread.

One name i havent seen mentioned who i have always rated is Chalobah.

Can play that defensive roll so well but has the energy to move around and can play a good pass!

He has stalled over the years with injuries at bad times but him going off on Saturday changed the game for me, and from what i've seen the same happened at Villa too.

Wouldnt cost a great deal with FFP important and i think Don Carlo might of worked with him at Chelsea too
