Who would you buy from potential relegation clubs?

I was treating the 3 CBs they use as the backline. Target and Guilbert are fine. Not guys I'd sign though.

Ezri Konsa is very raw but I think he's been excellent and could have a big future in the game. I don't think Engels has been terrible either. Mings is someone who 'looks' like a player and has some physical great attributes, much like Micah Richards, but lacks the reading of the game and awareness to thrive at the highest level. He's made so many cock-ups for them this season.

I reckon Villa's biggest issue defensively has been the middle of the park. Without McGinn, Douglas Luiz and Nakamba have been rudderless. Neither are Premier League players, for me. They give the defence no protection whatsoever. Grealish and Konsa aside, I'm not sure I'd be that fussed about signing any of them.

It's not even the defending I worry about, although they haven't been good this year so maybe I should, it's that when I watch them I see no way they could be a part of a passing side that doesn't give up a ton of goals from bad turnovers.

He's single handedly giving Villa a chance to stay up. He's carrying them.
To most people on here it’s not good enough im afraid, people don’t like him because of how he looks and acts but are missing the main point he’s playing brilliantly for his team

Buendia would be a no brainer imo, got so much quality. Brooks would be a v smart buy too, espcially given that he's left footed. Both play on the right side too which we have very little depth on.

Think there's quite a bit of quality to be found in the teams that are linegring around relegationo this season tbh, I'd deffo go in for Max Aarons at right back.
Yeah don't get why some people are against going for players in relegated teams, I mean look at Gueye. I would rather buendia than Everton Soares or lozano tbh, right back definitely needs sorting out.

cantwell all day long might cost a few quid but he's only 21 I know it was only 0ne game but he tore us appart at goodison this season defo got potential

I literally just jumped in to the last page here but weren't we linked with Konsa from Charlton like 3 years ago?

Max Aarons looks decent going forward and has pace - but how much would we spend on a RB that is gonna be relegated? Wiki says Lewis Dunk is valued at £50m, which is a surprise to me as he is 28.

Been thinking that if we stick to a 4-4-2, then someone like John McGinn could be brilliant for us. He's basically a very direct box to box midfielder, and if our creativity largely comes from out wide from a) the full backs, and b) the wingers like Bernard/Iwobi who appear to have been instructed to float into central positions, then someone like McGinn could be ideal. Grealish would still be better like, but lets be realistic. Here's a little video showing you how he plays.

Not sure why many are so against the idea of signing players from clubs who go down or could go down.

We’re not a million miles ahead of those teams ourselves and we’ve done well with the likes of Jagielka and Gueye from relegated clubs. Plus the likes of Antonio Valencia, Roy Keane, Joe Cole, Scott Parker, Robertson and Wijnaldum were all signed by title winning sides from clubs who went down and went on to become invaluable signings.

People don't like thinking out of the box.

I like him thought we should have got him before villa, all the rumours up in Scotland were that we were favourites for him before his move.
