Who will finish 4th?

We aren't playing as badly as the results look and the home games were against arsenal and chelsea who are, you know, quite good.

There is such a thing as context.

I keep seeing some of you guys coming out with this (regarding Arsenal and Chelsea). Football doesn't work like that. You could beat Man City one week and then lose to Crystal Palace the next.

I mean, Man City lost at home to Stoke. Does that make Stoke world beaters all of a sudden?

lol

You're one of those fans, I'll end my debate with you here, because it will just annoy everyone else. You have conceded 13 goals in 5 matches, can't win at home, have the added pressure of Europe on Thursday nights and have just lost AT HOME to the team rock bottom of the league managed by Neil Warnock. At least be a little realistic.

IF I thought we were "amazing" as you state, then I'd predict we'd finish 1st, no? Not 5th!

I think you're a little bit thick, or an angsty teenager, or probably both.

You see this is why I can't take you seriously.

Martinez will play Stones at centre back and all will be well. Whereas United just look gash. full stop. :coffee:

I'm sorry are you trying to argue that it's not easier to get points out of playing bad teams than it is out of playing good teams?

Is that seriously what you're doing, here?

You can't form a constructive argument and you rely on silly smilies with every post, which concludes my point that you're defintely a bit thick, and probably aged between 16-21. So I'll ignore you from now on.

You won't be able to ignore me as I speak the truth. Writing Everton off after 5 games makes you look just a little bit silly. lol

No. But you were battered by Chelsea and got 1 point against Arsenal. You then went on to lose against the team bottom of the league, at home. So by that rationale, if we get battered by Chelsea, get a draw against Arsenal and BEAT Crystal Palace, does that make us a better team than Everton?

Do you see what I mean - football doesn't work like that. It never has. The team with the most points come end of May is how it's judged, when we've all played home & away. And I think we'll finish above Everton this season, JUST. And I think Liverpool will finish above us.

Who has written Everton off? I have predicted that you will finish 6th. That's a good season considering the resources you have at your club.

Now, without the silly, childish smilies and scathing remarks - who do you think will finish 4th, 5th, 6th and 7th?

You've written us off.

I predict we'll finish either 2nd or 3rd. :bye:

too early to say

utd and lkverpool are different sides to last year. utd will get better but i think theyll only make it if no one else shows up, which could happen tbhbh

cant see us unless rapid improvement n CB in janjan

I just think saying 'everton can't win at home' when we've only played 4 home games (and won 1) and 3 of them were against very good teams is premature.

If all 4 games were against palace like teams, fair enough. But honestly we played well enough to win today and well enough to win vs arsenal. We'll win our fair share of home games this year, don't you worry.

That's fair enough (regarding the home games) and yes, it's not a barometer to measure how you'll do as you've played Chelsea in one of those fixtures.

I didn't see your game today but I am listening to 606 now and two Evertonians have just called in and both said that Crystal Place could have scored even more goals today. They sound worried.
